Safaris The Lapland Connection is a private travel company, owned by Sinikka (née Lahikainen) and Martti Niskanen, specialists with over 50 years of combined experience in the travel field.

Martti is a native of Lapland and a pioneer in the field of snowmobile and river rafting tourism, having established one of Lapland`s first safari companies back in the mid-80`s. Sinikka`s origins are in the south of Finland, and her experience includes 10 years in the incentive travel industry in the U.S. in addition to a management position in one of Finland`s leading travel agencies, prior to her move to Lapland in 1991.  Sinikka is a member of Site since 1989.
