"Meripirtti" (the name translates to "Lodge by the Sea") is a private family home in the countryside in Sea-Lapland, offering visitors accommodations in the "SnowLodge", dinners in the cozy candlelit restaurant in the glow of the fireplace, and a traditional Finnish sauna experience. Meripirtti is located on the seashore, 20 minutes by car from Kemi. It is surrounded by nature and bordered by the sea and provides a calm oasis away from it all. There's no better place to chaise the sight of Aurora Borealis – far away from the city lights! Dinner in Meripirtti Lodge
You can experience the cuisine of Meripirtti even without staying overnight at the SnowLodge. The chef's menu features Lapland appetizers – salmon, reindeer and local caviar, glowfried salmon prepared on open fire, accompanied by dill potatoes and a mixed salad, and pastry and coffee for dessert. Sauna at Meripirtti Lodge
If you want to experience the traditions of a Finnish sauna evening, there’s no better place for this than Meripirtti Lodge. There are two wood-heated saunas on the seashore, a hot tub in the open air and the "hole in the ice" where the bravest will take a dip in the icy sea water. Sauna snacks and drinks can be ordered from the restaurant and enjoyed in the cozy fireplace lounge

Costs: € 450 / one-time charge + € 6,50 / person

Costs Include:
The private use of two saunas, hot tub and ice hole for a period of two hours
Towels and toiletries

"The Great Escape"
This one-night get-away is a true escape from the everyday. Departure in the evening by snowmobiles from Kemi to Meripirtti. At Meripirtti Lodge enjoy a dinner of glowfried salmon and a truly “cool” overnight in the SnowLodge. After morning sauna and breakfast, back to Kemi with snowmobiles. This tour is operated daily.
